U13 Girls Hawks win away at St Albans

St Alban's was the venue for our 6th league match and we were hoping to continue our winning streak.
The oppo won the toss, elected to field and so we got stuck in.
Grace (9) and Flo (4) got us off to a steady start, followed by Mimi (7) and Aggie (11) showing great running at every opportunity.
Charlotte (11) and Poppy (9) continued the consistent running with Mattie (7) and Lizzie (9) the last pair to bring a reasonable 67 run total. 41 extras led us to finish on a net score of 303 with only one wicket lost.
Fielding on such a hot morning was always going to be a challenge. Add to the mix the girls were playing on astro for the first time, so our extras were slightly higher for this game. However, tight fielding kept St Albans' run scores down and wickets for Grace (2), Mattie (1), Aggie (1) and a run out by Charlotte ensured we got our much deserved 6th win of the group games.

The opposition gave Aggie POM and we concur. With her 11 runs and excellent bowling figures, including a great wicket, she is POM. Well done Aggie!
