8th league win in a row for U13G Hawks

Hitchin won the toss and chose to field, on a chilly evening. The girls were fired up and determined to remain undefeated.
The run rate was very hard to push up however, as the girls faced quite a few wides and no balls. This was frustrating and possibly led to some of the wickets given away.
Overall the Hawks batted well despite the slightly wayward deliveries they faced.
We finished on 286/7. Not really a true picture of how well the girls are batting at the moment, but they did well with the good balls when they came.
Our bowling and fielding was great. Lots more energy in the field, with lovely camaraderie between them all.
Wickets flew. 11 in total! Clean bowls x 5, 1 lbw, 2 fabulous catches from Anastasia and Mattie, and 3 well executed run outs for Aggie, Anastasia and Grace.
POM goes to Anastasia for her 13 runs and awesome fielding innings. Well done Anastasia!

The HJL trophy is well and truly in our sights! Let's go for it! As the only team in all 4 groups to have won all 8 group games they should be immensely proud of themselves. A fantastic achievement!
