U13G Falcons win at home to Hitchin!

On Sunday the Falcons had a match against Hitchin. Izzy Jones, the captain, won the toss and elected to field first. Emmy and Lily opened the bowling and together got 3 wickets, followed by Jessica who got 2 wickets.
A big well done to Emily who stepped in to keep. She started off the game by getting a catch when the batter hit it straight in the air. Hitchin were low scoring throughout the game and ended on 278 runs.
Our batting innings started well. The first pair was Emmy and Lily who got a good 14 runs between them, both getting boundaries while batting. Jess and Amelia picked up the score to a promising 248 runs. Martha batted strongly earning herself 10 runs including 2 boundaries. Emily and Izzy batted last and brought up the score to 297.
Hitchin's bowling helped bring up the Falcon's score as their girls bowled some no balls and wides. Overall I think 2 people stood out and played a great game. Emily, who stood in as WK and didn’t struggle whatsoever and not many byes were given. Well done Emily.
Emmy batted and bowled amazingly scoring 9 runs not out. WELL DONE .
