U13 Girls Hawks win at home to Hitchin

A double header for the Hawks saw us first welcome Hitchin on what was thankfully a warm, sunny day.
Hitchin won the toss and elected to field first.
Our batting was consistent and the girls showed how their confidence is growing.
Each pair worked hard and ran well with Evie, Daisy, Mattie and Florence hitting double figures.
We finished on a healthy 81 runs (61 net score after dismissals), with 43 then added from Hitchin's extras. Only losing 4 wickets we thought our final score of 304/4 would be enough if our fielding was strong.
Flo kicked off the wicket taking with a great bowl/run out combo. Super quick reflexes!
Two fantastic catches from Anastasia and Evie, off bowling from Aggie and Daisy. A wicket for Grace and the girls are gaining in confidence with calling for LBWs, earning Mattie and Grace a wicket each. Imi made some fantastic stops once again.
Again, our bowling was strong, fielding was great and the match was complete with Hitchin only getting 239/7.
Evie earns POM for her confident batting, 2 great bowling overs and for that super catch. Well done Evie!
Once again, the girls teamwork and attitude to the game was a pleasure to watch.
