St Albans had already proved themselves a tough opponent following a narrow defeat earlier in the year and following many of their players having played for the U14s earlier in the day, they showed Stortford girls how to score runs and preserve your wicket. St Albans batting first and scoring 293 for the loss of only 3 wickets, Katie Brearley being Stortford's star bowler taking 2 wickets for 4 runs. In reply BSCC could only score 239 as they lost 7 wickets, St Albans bowling and fielding well to restrict BSCC who struggled to capitalise on scoring from any of the wider balls they bowled. Top scorer Jasmine Henchie with 10 (out once). Player of the match being Katie for that excellent bowling performance.
Plenty of work on batting planned for the nets so we can improve how we defend the good balls and score from the bad.
