The U12s have had many games called off due to weather or the opposition not being able to raise a team. So we were delighted that 2 girls from WGC came and joined 14 girls from BSCC and we enjoyed beautiful Sunday morning weather and some excellent performances.
With BSCC forming the majority of both sides the result was fairly unimportant, but it was great to see excellent bowling from Natalie Ronco and Jessica Fraser-Andrews, both taking wickets and bowling very straight. Jessica rounded off a player of the match performance with 8 runs. I was delighted to see the girls developing their match skills with ever improving running between the wickets and fielding especially backing up. The one area we need to all work on is bowling so that we can minimise wides and no-balls, so lots of practice during the half term holiday! Many thanks to Paula for scoring, and Justin Gray for umpiring (and Kevin for the coffee). Thanks To Nikki Little at WGC (& The ladies 1st team) who worked really hard to get a team out to play us.
Let's look forward to the next few games where we will face so tough teams, hopefully all the better for Sunday's game.
