The U9s played in some very gusty winds on Tuesday night and beat Sawbridgeworth by 41 runs.
BSCC bowled first and pretty accurately given the wind keeping Sawbridgeworth to 245. Aditya was the stand out bowler with 2 maidens including one wicket. James also bowled quickly and took two wickets for 7 runs. Rohan also bowled two great overs of leg spin and was very unlucky only to get a single wicket.
Batting started productively with Rohan and Henry adding 38 runs from their 4 overs and doing a great job of taking all of the runs on offer with excellent calling and running between the wickets. James and Aditya then put the team ahead with a partnership including 3 boundaries and only one wicket against the strongest bowling pair from Sawbridgeworth. We lost a few wickets over the second half of the innings but Elsie, Arron and Rupert all hit boundaries to keep the score moving forwards and we ended with 286.
