U9s Win With Strong All Round Performance

The Under 9s had four more players making their first match appearance in this match. The team won with a strong all round performance including some very accurate bowling. BSCC lost the toss and were put in to bat. Oliver and Joseph got the team off to an excellent start with 28 from their 4 overs including three boundaries for Oliver. The team built steadily from there with Harry, Adi, Wilson and Henry all hitting two more boundaries each and the team only losing three wickets in total.

The team took less wickets than last week, but bowled very accurately and gave away only a single boundary. Adi, Aidan, Oliver and Henry all bowled their overs without giving away any wide balls. Special mention has to go to Adi for an excellent maiden (and I still find it hard to understand how none of them hit the stumps!). Joseph and Oliver took two wickets each and Max, Wilson and Henry each chipped in with one wicket. It was also really good to see the players organising the field themselves and encouraging each other the whole innings.
