A damp and dismal evening at Sawbo saw an exciting nail biting finish, where unfortunately BSCC lost by just 1 run!
We began the innings with attacking cricket, but also losing some wickets. A good recovery in the middle order by an unbeaten innings from Stanley (10) and captain Harry (9) took the score to a reasonable 268/6.
Sawbo batted steadily, only losing 3 wickets and got to 270 runs before the last 2 batters walked in. Matthew then took 1 wicket and Cameron kept it tight with two maidens to keep things interesting, but Sawbo just sneaked ahead to 269/4 as they defended the last over successfully.
A great game of cricket with solid batting & fielding performances, although we gave away 44 runs in extras (mainly in wides) and this is one area where we really need to work hard.
