U9s V Hertford

Stortford U9s won their 3rd game on Friday thanks to good accurate bowling, a couple of key run outs and some big hitting from Bertie Warnes.
Toby and Oliver started the batting and despite both losing their wicket still ended on 207 thanks to good calling and running. Bertie and Maddox then accelerated both hitting good boundaries and Bertie smashing 2 big sixes. Sam R and Harrison continue the excellent running adding 28 runs in their 4 overs without losing a wicket and the innings was completed with Jamie hitting 11 supported by Sam W.
Oliver took a wicket with his fist ball as the batsman hit his own stumps and although we didn't strike again until the 11th over everyone bowled and fielded well keeping their score well behind the rate needed. Sam Ronco then bowled one of the opposition and 2 run outs help keep the runs in check and we ended winning the game by 31 runs.
