U10 saw off Hoddesdon in a game of high quality bowling in the hardball league. Having been asked to field, U10 hit a consistently good line and length up the slope on the new 3rd pitch to take 9 wickets and limit opportunities for their opponents to score. Aaron was the pick of the bowlers, finishing his 3 overs with 2 wickets at a cost of just 2 runs. Once again, U10 showed a lot of drive in the field, the highlight being a super direct hit from square leg from Farai.
Chasing 251 to win, U10 got off to shaky start, losing 4 wickets in the first 3 overs before Seb (10no), Ollie (13) and Teddy (10no) made it advantage to the home team. Final pair Max and Farai batted steadily in the badly fading light, avoiding too much drama to see U10 to a deserved 17 run victory.
