U10 beat Hoddesdon by 45 runs

U10 blew the incrediball league wide open with a comprehensive 45 run victory at group toppers Hoddesdon.

Thabani's 21 off 14 balls, including a big daddy 6 straight down the ground, was the highlight of a swashbuckling U10 batting display. Charlie, Henry and Freddie all reached double figures as U10 closed their innings on 319 for 6 wickets.

Hoddesdon's run chase was limited by a much improved performance in the field, led by captain Seb, who took two catches, (one off his own bowling) claimed a run out and was always in the right position backing up behind the stumps. Freddie took a wicket as did Charlie, who seemed to defy physics with a fine caught and bowled of his own. A super direct hit from Thabani square of the wicket was the other Hoddesdon wicket to fall as U10 were rewarded for playing sensible cricket and making the opposition work hard for every run.
