U10 beat Braughing by 25 runs

U10 got their first win in the incrediball league this season in an entertaining encounter up on the plateau. Braughing got off to a catastrophic start, losing 3 wickets in the first 3 overs but eventually recovered to close their innings on 260/9. Henry, Alex, Zach, Rayaan and Freddie all got among the wickets for U10. Rayaan and Alexander both took super catches behind the stumps.

In reply, U10 got off to shaky start but eventually settled into their batting. Henry crashed 3 fours in quick succession to make up for losing 2 wickets at the start of his innings. Zach capped off an impressive debut overall, finding the boundary 4 times on his way to top score with 16 not out. Zafir, Freddie and Thabani all hit boundaries whilst Austin finished the job in style, scoring 10 runs not out off 16 balls faced to see U10 close the innings on 285/6.

This was a very positive batting display by U10. Many of the players will find the short boundary on the plateau easy to reach. However, we need to be careful not to give wickets away too easily.
