The U10s lost the toss and were put into bat. Good partnerships and not too many wickets was the order of the day including boundaries by almost every batsmen. The team had a solid base to the innings after the first four pairs on 266, then Aidan and Harry put on 50 in the last four overs, with Harry hitting a blistering 30 off 10 balls including seven boundaries.
With a big target to defend the team focused on avoiding extras and overthrows very well. We took early wickets and St Margaretsbury were always behind in their chase. Wilson took 3 wickets in his two overs (following up on his bowling heroics in training on Sunday!). A number of bowlers got the incrediball swinging and 11 wickets was a just return.
It is not often you lose 11 wickets one day winning a match and then take 11 the next day winning a match. Well done U10s squad for two good performances.
