U10s Win Incrediball v St Margaretsbury

The U10s batted first and managed 5 strong partnerships. Max and Arthur put on 13 with careful batting. Henry and Arron (playing up in the U10s for the first time) then put on a big partnership of 35 hitting four boundaries. Ridley and Teddy added 27, with Teddy hitting three boundaries in one over with strong pull shots. James and Thomas added 19 despite losing a couple of wickets to good bowling and Rohan and Oliver finished with a partnership of 28 against the stronger bowlers.

This gave a total of 322 and early wickets made it a comfortable second innings for us. Henry struck in the first over, and the team got a run out in both of the first two overs. Arron took a wicket with his first ball in U10s and regular wicket fell throughout the innings. Amongst many strong performances James' triple wicket maiden deserves a special mention as does Ridley's 3 wicket haul. The team have become a very consistent and confident bowling group especially with incrediball and they back each other up really well in the field.

We haven't lost an incrediball game since the first match of the season and winning means we top the group and get a home quarter final next week.
