U10 Incrediball v Braughing

Our team fielded first with five players in their first ever cricket matches. Overall they did really well for an inexperienced group. Thomas opened the bowling with some very accurate spin and was unlucky not to get a wicket or two. Congratulations to James who took a wicket on debut. The team fielded well and also got a run out.

Henry opened the batting with a straight hit over the bowlers head and the innings. We progressed well, largely due to the team not losing wickets, but Ridley and Thomas were left with 36 to get in the final pair which proved just to much for them. What was really encouraging is that the only wicket lost came as a run out from the final ball. That was a last gasp to try to win and without it the team would have scored over 290 which may well be enough to win them other games.
