After being put in we started strongly despite losing Thomas in the 2nd over with Tom hitting 2 boundaries in his 13 and Felix powering his way to 28 not out with 5 4s. We then lost our momentum and a few quick wickets so it was left to Ossie (11 not out) with the help of Oliver and Padraig to make sure we lasted our 20 overs, finishing on 75-8. Hitchin bowled very straight and gave us only 17 extras and this was to prove the difference in 2 evenly matched teams. William, Kimball and Padraig all took a wicket in their first over but the Hitchin middle order steadied the ship accumulating a lot of singles. William returned to take his 2nd wicket, Felix recovered from a wayward first over to take 2 in 2 balls and James picked up a wicket to keep the pressure on but they sneaked home after 16 overs 7 wickets down - unfortunately 37 extras including 29 in wides proved costly. In the end everybody got a bat and all 10 bowled so it was good experience for many U10s playing 11-a-side cricket for the first time.
