BSCC U10s TOP of Junior Herts league with a match to go!

Ossie set the scene by running out WGC opener off the second delivery. Everyone bowled and fielded tightly to keep on the pressure. Ed bowled brilliantly picking up 2 wickets and Shaun also took one. WGC's classy Harry top scored (18 runs), played some lovely strokes (4 x 4s) and bowled quickly, but was a bit of a lone warrior. Disappointingly though, we gave away 34 extras out of the 51 run total, which we must address approaching the latter stages of the tournament!

Our batting was a real pleasure to watch with commanding performances from Daniel, Ed S, Matt in particular and useful contributions from Shaun (13r) and Cass (13r). Our opening pair, Ed and Matt finished off just 6 runs short of the WGC total giving us a fantastic platform. The only point to note was the risky running between the wickets, which on a different day could've been costly. Anyway, we finished comfortably on 318/4.

This win puts BSCC at the top of the U10 hardball league and we need to beat WGC again TOMORROW to finish top and have a home play-off. Well done to the entire squad for getting us to the top and the parents for their support.
