BSCC too strong for Hertford 1 - again!

Hertford 1 won the toss and put BSCC in to bat. Matt and Cassidy gave us an explosive start with 32 runs off the first 4 overs and Matt smashing 14 off the last over. Ed C and Ossie kept up the momentum and I was particularly pleased to see Ossie get a strike rate above 100 and hit three powerful boundaries. Shaun completed our batting with a quick 15 and showed technically superb shots. The only thing we still need to work on is the calling with Cam and Dexter running each other out. Against better opposition these -10 runs could be the difference between winning and losing!

We were quietly confident at 309 for 3 at half time. Daniel and Cam started our innings with real pace and venom, giving nothing away. After 8 overs they were 220 for 3 wickets, with Cassidy picking one and Daniel smashed down the wickets twice to get a double wicket maiden. With 3 run outs, we were also on top form in the field. Ed, Shaun and Cam picked a wicket each, limiting Hertford 1 to 226 for 9 wickets.

A superb overall team performance, but we need to improve the running between the wickets when we play Welyn Garden City who have also won all their 4/4 matches.
