BSCC U10s Hardball team starts season with a 60 run victory over old adversary!

A strong hardball performance away at Broxbourne - excellent start to the season and encouraging signs for BSCC considering last year Brox v BSCC played 3, won 1, lost 1 and drew 1!!!
Batting highlights: Ed 16 runs and Dan & Matt on his first hardball match, both with 14 runs each, with plenty of attacking strokes and fours between them!
Bowling highlights: Dan's 2 wickets off 2 overs for 0 cumulative runs, as I cannot enter negative numbers! Only 2 runs off Ed's 2 overs and a wicket each for hardball newcomers Padraig and Dexter!
As mentioned previously, in the hardball format we aim to win our matches to hopefully get a step further than last season where we were knocked off by the eventual winners Tring Park in the semis. Please understand that if a player is not selected, it does not mean they are "dropped", but rather they are being "rotated" to hopefully give as many promising players experience of hardball format. If players are comfortable with this format and perform well, then they will end up playing more matches, depending on availability. I will also select teams based on our opposition strength, so please bare in mind if your child is not selected early in the season, as I try to work out the opponents, e.g. we do play against 1st and 2nd teams etc.
