BSCC U10s smash Sawbo by 116 runs - a FLAWLESS performance!

BSCC were two players short at the start with the match held at the Leventhorpe rather than Sawbo ground, resulting in us batting first again. Sorry, my fault, as I didn't check with the opposition manager!

We had the best possible start with Henry (20 runs) and Ed dispatching the ball in all directions giving us 39/0 off the first 4 overs. Cameron and Ossie kept up the momentum with another 39/0 partnership. Dylan and Cassidy scored a well deserved 28/0, whilst Daniel and Stanley struggled a little, but still managed 20/0 partnership. This meant we scored our highest score this year, 326 runs, WITHOUT losing a single wicket - a FLAWLESS start to the match!

In reply, we played like a professional outfit, backing up every throw, using fielders to pass the ball back to the bowler , keeping the shine on the ball and of course walking in with the bowler. Sawbo batsman had absolutely no reply to our pace, accuracy and fielding prowess, with Stanley picking up 2 wickets, Cassidy, Ed, Dylan and Cameron picking up one each and topping it all with 3 run outs. Sawbo had lost a total of NINE wickets with only 210 runs on the board, i.e. 116 runs difference - a FLAWLESS bowling/fielding performance as well!

I am surprised, how quickly the boys are improving and gaining confidence. I can't think of any other team with a better and harder working squad of players. Well done to you all - you deserve it!
