BSCC Sarah Warnes team takes Trophy

Well done to both teams we both had lots to learn but played well. This morning was v wet, and slippery. The boys played through despite the weather and the stortford b team ended up winning the tournament. Well done boys.

Matthew Crowther (u11) won batsman of the day and Bertie warnes (u9) won fielder of the day. We all had a lovely time - thank you to everyone that joined in.

We had a wet start today......
JP was our captain for the day and was consistent in his instructions and team play, he also provided motivation and was there for his team mates to offer encouragement when the results were not in our favour. The Boys named our team the Adidas All Stars and the team spirt was there and much needed as it was a long day!

Our first game was against Stortford, we finished 12 runs behind, not a bad effort from the "Adidas All Stars".

Our Second Game was against Braughing and with only five overs and seven players, we tried to keep the bowling and batting flowing and fair.
We conceded too many wide's and were sloppy on the fielding (as the ground was slippery) losing a few too many fours.

We finished by losing to HECC and our boys were a little down trodden.

Ben Foster was Man of the Match, he listened when given instruction, when he went into the field to bat he conferred with our other bats man talking techniques and it paid off! He also was consistent with bowling and caught a few batsmen out with his swift wicket keeping.

Arthur was TEAM PLAYER of the day as when he had to wait to bowl or bat he never once complained or moaned or tried to push himself up the playing order, when he was on the field he played to win not matter what the score was and he was consistent with his bowling and batting. Well Done!!

Id like to thank all the boys for playing today, we may not have won a game, but we all learned from it, so it will make us stronger in our future matches.

Remember.......Champions train, Losers Complain.....get out there practice but most importantly keep smiling and enjoy it!

Best Wishes

Zoe
