Should have won this one!!

Knebworth won the toss and elected to send in Stortford to bat first

Captain: Aidan Murphy

1st batting pair: Benjamin and George. A good, solid start. Maybe a bit over cautious with your runs but always difficult to be up first and figuring out the oppo's weaknesses. 14pts added to score.
2nd batting pair: Liam and Ted R. Very solid pairing. Two boundaries from Liam. 23pts added to score.
3rd pairing: Alex and Teddy P. Another sound batting performance here. 11pts added.
4th pairing: Aidan and Freddie. Very good final pairing. Both players taking boundaries. 20 pts added.

Things to improve... COMMUNICATION between the pairs. If you are not batting, YOU MUST call the runs!!

Total 266/2

Knebworth in to bat.

Not much to say here!! I think most of you know that there were many, very dubious decisions that went against us. It didn't help that the official impeded many of our bowlers either. If this happens again, please don't be shy and respectfully ask the official to move slightly. If you are still unhappy, or would be happier to ask our coach or match official to speak with the opposition, we will support you with this.
Having said all that, we can't deny that we again bowled far too any Wides and No Balls. 26 to be precise!! That's 52 points given away very cheaply. Some of these were poor calls, but the majority were poor balls. We have to do better in future. It cost us the match and will do again in the future. Please keep practising!!

Positives. Great bowling from Liam getting 2 wickets and a Maiden. Benjamin and Aidan getting a wicket each and not giving much away either. Well done boys.

273/4

Towner's Man of the Match: Benjamin for a great solid performance and taking a wicket.
I would agree with this also, but having analysed the scoring sheet, I would also like to add Liam to this. With his 2 wickets, maiden over and two boundaries he deserves to share this week's MOM.

Well done boys!!
