The U11Bs won a close match against Braughing. Batting first we struggled to get going and lost a few soft wickets. Within that some lovely strokes from Joseph (16), Rohan (18) and Henry (6 off 5) did get us to a total of 247 for 9.
The first Braughing pair got off to a strong start and they needed only 24 off 76 balls. Our bowling is probably stronger than our batting but repeating the efforts of the A side last week the team started bowling straight taking wickets. Reggie, Henry and Rohan took two each but all of bowlers were great. The umpire got a bit animated at one point when Rohan took a sharp catch behind off a fast ball from Will (sorry - but it was the first time I've seen them actually take one). After the cluster of wickets the last Braughing pair needed 32 off 25. Tight bowling particularly from Aidan kept them behind that -t here was only one wide in that period - and Braughing finished on 239/9.
