U11 T1 win by 7 runs at Sawbridgeworth

T1 batted very steadily and put together a good score of 115 for 5. Kieran and Will did a great job putting on 61 for the first wicket in nine and a half overs. The innings then slowed a little with 3 wickets in 4 overs, but Ethan D-T and Tom batted calmly towards the end of the innings scoring 34 in the last five overs.

In the second innings we bowled some good balls, beating the bat regularly, but initially struggled to be consistent and bowl enough balls at the sumps. We gave away 15 wides in the first half of the innings which meant Sawbridgeworth were on track to chase down their target. The boys did a great job of correcting that in the second half, finally putting too much scoreboard pressure on Sawbridgeworth.

Particularly well done to Tom F in captaining the team well and leading the way in the second half of of the bowling innings.
