All 11 players 'contribute'. . . in a 'dominant' U11 performance

A strong bowling performance saw U11 team 1 (The Eagles) secure another victory on the road in St Margaretsbury this evening. In a game that was threatened all afternoon by the weather, but was ultimately played in total sunshine, The Eagles won the toss and put their hosts in to bat.

We conceded too many extras - and that is certainly an area to work on - but the KEY was that everyone bowled 2 overs and everyone bowled those overs WELL. We restricted the home team to just 70 runs from their 20 overs, with wickets for Tom F (3) , Ethan H (1), Sam B (3) and Frank P (1).

In reply the Eagles made light work of the target. . . . with Krish F (16), Luca L (4), Oliver M (11 no), Toby R (25 ret) and Tom A (3 no) all batting in an accomplished manner to ensure that victory would be achieved in just 10.1 overs.

Like I said in my team talk at the end, those that did not bat today will certainly get their opportunity next time. Well done to all - you ALL contributed to this victory today.
