BSCC U11s v Hertford

Tate won the toss and elected to bat, leading the scoring with some nice strokes along with Thomas. Following Thomas being caught and bowled Edward joined Tate both scoring quickly. Once Tate departed for 12 and Edward for 16 it was left to Robert to smash 2 excellent boundaries making 13 not out supported by George who ended 5 not out. Our score was 97-3 thanks to a lot of wayward bowling contributing 35 wides and 6 no balls.
It was clear after the first 2 overs the target was going to be safe thanks to a run out and 2 wickets for Matthew in his first over, the last thanks to a brilliant catch from wicketkeeper Tate. Everyone got a chance to bowl and all were relatively tidy but special mention goes to Samuel who bowled 3 overs and got 2 wickets for 6 runs. The other wicket taker was Robert and we also claimed 2 run outs thanks to good fielding from Griff and Toby.
An excellent all round performance today from the team.
