u12 Sloggers Bs Continue unbeaten run

Sloggers bowled first (as the oppo were still mostly negotiating traffic on their way from Knebworth!). Highlights included Charlie L bowling "lovely long loopy stuff" as Felix White (Tailenders pod) might describe it, Hayden with a maiden and some great keeping from stand in keeper Max M. Wickets were shared between Charlie, Harrison, Raphael, Chris D, Joe F and Conran. Fielding was generally good (especailly from Raphael), bowling tight, atmosphere was good if too quiet but we just need to keep that extras column in control at times. The oppo scored 247-7, a target that should not have been too challenging. However we made it more challenging by losing four wickets in the first two pairs leaving us with a net score of 7 after 8 overs. However Chris and skipper Grace settled us down and Grace's cover driven boundary was a beauty! Joe and Max then took us beyond the opposition's score with Max hitting two very nice boundaries. That left final pair in cruise control despite facing some very good bowling from Jack T (who was playing for the oppo as they were one short. Thanks for volunteering Jack). The final pairs' highlight being an all-run 5! Yes those boundaries are big! So victory was secured, no wickets lost in the last few pairs, mostly tight bowling and still unbeaten.
