U12 EAGLES B TEAM 'IN TUNE' AT KNEBWORTH

Where Eagles Dare!

Winning the toss, the Under 12 Eagles B team batted first and after a shaky of start losing 3 wickets in 4 balls , Daniel R and Josh M managed to show some great defence against some decent bowling. The next few pairs made steady progress, however we sadly lost all 10 wickets through whole innings. An area for improvement!

There were quite a few unplayable deliveries in the middle section of the innings (not Jofra Archer unplayable, just not landing on our wicket unplayable!) so runs were not free flowing. The penultimate pair Olly S and Oliver A started our push of runs with some good hitting. Benji and Kimball B scored valuable last pair runs and this was our highest partnership with Benji C top scoring on 12. Finishing on 276 .

Like our first innings , we got a wicket with the very first ball, and then another couple in quick succession. Everyone bowled very well and we picked up wickets steadily through the entire innings. Our fielding was good and we didn't allow them many singles, well done !! Knebworth had one lad who could clearly bat and he got them a lot closer to our target than they really deserved. Knebworth finished up on 250, meaning a 26 run victory margin for The Eagles.

We conducted ourselves really well in the field, good walking in, positive chatting, and really tidy work getting the back to the bowler . Great team performance.
