BSCC U12s dominate Hertford to win without losing a wicket!

Hertford won the toss and decided to bat on a cool but sunny evening.

BSCC started strongly with tight bowling from Monty (2o-5r-1w) and Stan Mather (2o-7r-1w), before Beau (2o-1r-2w) took two quick wickets in a double maiden over to cripple Hertford's hopes. A direct runout by Monty and tidy bowling by all other players limited Hertford to a well below par score of 75/5.

BSCC started strongly with steady-Daniel L (25n.o.) and attacking-Cam (26n.o.) putting together a 65-run partnership and retiring in the 8th over (Cam pipping the post first!). Stanley Gay, who kept well behind the wickets, took BSCC over the line with quick 8 runs in only the 9th over.

This was a fantastic performance by the 5 new players; Beau, Monty, Stanley M, Daniel B and Kieren, which shows great depth in the squad & good news for the club's future, but more headach for selections!
