BSCC U12 v Hoddesdon U12

It is fair to say everyone was a bit rusty coming into our first proper game this season and we still suffer from last season issues of not defending a good straight delivery as we lost 8 wickets all bowled. Despite this everyone scored runs with Joe Griffiths making 16, James Frans 13, Aaron Walter and Tom Combes 12 and Joe Sturrock-Jackson 11. Our final total of 290-8 in 20 overs looked about par. Hoddesdon started steadily after a brilliant run out by James from the first delivery and it took to the 10th over to take the next wicket as Aaron bowled 1 of their 3rd pair. Will Fox followed that with 2 wickets in 2 balls including a good catch from Luca Barnes which left them well behind the scoring rate needed. William Sharman and Harrison Thake took a wicket each and another runout by Tom and Thomas Moore saw us safely home as they finished on 255-7.
