BSCC u12 v Broxbourne u12

A good victory for the u12s last night. We won the toss and elected to bat. A great first wicket partnership between JP (29) and Ben who retired having got to 30. Noah and Freddie Hickey also batted really well attacking the bowling, and scoring very quickly to up the run rate. We finished on 132-3.

Broxbourne started well with some aggressive batting but sharp fielding and straight bowling began to wear the opposition down. Wickets fell reguarly. Harry, Jake and Matthew all taking a wicket with Brendan and Will H bagging two a piece. Everyone bowled really well. We often bowl a bit short but last night we bowled a superb length and it was difficult to deal with. Broxbourne ended up on 72 for 7 and we always looked in control.

Great batting tonight. Nice to see some more aggression from one or two. Freddie particularly showed the bowlers who was the boss! We fielded well and a very tidy bowling display from everyone. Well done and thanks to Ant Foster for umpiring and Sian/Gaynor for the scoring.
