U12 Qtr Final

Electing to bat first we started well despite losing Zain caught for 4 with Edward (12) and Liam (15) taking us to 35 for 1 but from there we struggled against some tight bowling and lost wickets regularly with Griff making 11 and Will 7 not out and finished on a below par 80-9 in 20 overs.
We made life difficult for the early batsman with Matthew C, Matthew L, Edward and Liam all bowling really well with leaving them 43-2 at half way - Matthew C and Edward taking 1 wicket each. Griff came on and took a wicket 2nd ball and Matthew L came back on to take 2 wickets in 2 balls to give them a scare but a couple of lucky edges went for runs to ease the tension and they got home in the 18th over.
This was a very good bowling and fielding display but ultimately we were 20 runs short of a winning score.
