St M's Take The Spoils

Chasing St Margaretsbury's par score of 118 (for 4) to maintain our QF aspirations, Storford U15's could not handle some quick and accurate bowling. Run scoring was challenging and but for an excellent 41 (retired) knock from Praj our total of 67 would have been so much less. No other batsman was able to reach double figures as our middle order was blown away.

Earlier and sent into bat, St Margaretsbury started slowly to the credit of our opening bowlers - Max (0-5) and Praj (0-15). All our bowlers bowled well with wickets for Arthur (1-15) and James (2-27) as was the fielding which included a well executed run out. So at half time all were positive that their total would be reached.

But the visitors' total of 118 for 4 would prove to be a far too many to chase down.
