U15s suffer 1st defeat

U15s need to learn a major lesson from this game - you cannot approach matches in such a frivolous manner and expect to win. We bowled and fielded very poorly, and our focus appeared to be more on giving the batsmen 'verbals' rather than our own performance. Our wickets we taken by Ealey and Crowther who along with Williams produced the only creditable overs with all the others bowling far too many easy 'four balls' and wides or no balls.
The target of 161 was always going to be tough and after the early loss of Thomas, Ealey and Williams added over 50 for the 2nd wicket but we never achieved the required run rate. A few good shots from Simons and Crowther at the end took us past 100 to give us reasonable bonus points.
I can only hope our attitude in future games is more focussed and combative.
