BSCC U15s made an encouraging start to their 2014 campaign. Having won the toss and batting first, Thomas(9) and Williams (21) made a steady start but we were pegged back with some tight bowling but we managed to accelerate towards the end with Ealey (10), Simons N (7) and especially U13 Adam Crowther (23no) pushing us up to 81 in our 20 overs.
In reply Hoddesdon were never allowed to get on top of our accurate bowling with Hudson, Ealey, Sumner and Williams all taking 1 wicket. Credit also goes to U13 Josh Simons and U14 Charlie Peace who also bowled well. Despite only have 20 boys we restricted the home side to 69 runs so won by 12.
Next game is Sawbridgeworth on May 6th.
