BSCC 4s batted first and only managed 152 runs against a good Huntingdon bowling attack (for the time of the year!). Clint Williams (35) and T Makin (16) provided a solid start on this bitterly cold Sunday, followed by Tommy (24) and Fred (23). However, there were no real weak bowlers, which meant BSCC struggled.
BSCC 4s opened the bowling with Lovehalls and Foster and the latter got 2 wickets in his first over! Huntingdon had to rebuild their innings against some fine BSCC bowling. Hugh Williams developed his pace action for this year and was accurate and effective. At the end, the experience of T Burslem (3 wks) and Makin (2 wks) made it interesting. Huntingdon had a batsman retire at 50 and then had gone home. A chance was unfortunately dropped (with freezing hands!), so the last pair just reached the target with a few overs to spare. So all in all, a good friendly match with everyone getting some batting and bowling.
