Saturday saw the two's visit Datchworth who were top of the league winning 4 from 4. Datchworth won the toss and elected to bat. Stortford's bowling attack was relentless and on a small ground managed to take all 10 wickets for 209 runs. This was a a fantastic start as Datchworth regularly score over 250 at home. Mel Hussain and Andrew O'Donovan took 3 wickets each supported by Ruan Premadasa taking 2 wickets and Rob Lovehalls and Chris Thomas both took 1 each.
In reply Mel Hussain and Stuart Felstead put on 112 for the first wicket in 25 overs and Chris Thomas and Andrew O'Donovan saw Stortford home with 8 balls to spare.
A great team performance against a good side. Stortford have now have moved to fourth in the league and are in touching distance of the top. It's Broxbourne this week at home who Stortford have already beaten in a pre-season friendly so hopes are high that they can continue their winning form.
