A solid win for the U11 Girls at Radlett

After losing the toss, a very young looking Radlett team opted to field first.
Our batters struggled a little to get the numbers of runs up as we faced a fair few no balls and wides. However, Grace and Mattie got them off to a good start getting to 217 with no wickets lost
Florence MacK and Flo McB added another 11, followed by a good innings by Elsie and Sami.
As we only had 6 Grace and Mattie batted again and we ended up with a healthy 284 over the innings. We lost 5 wickets over the 20 overs.
Some sound bowling and fielding followed with 5 wickets taken over the innings. Solid bowling resulted in lots of dot balls which kept the opposition’s run count down.
All the girls, despite only being 6 of them, put in a solid performance both batting and bowling resulting in a win, albeit against a much younger and less experienced side.
