U11 Girls beat Datchworth

BSCC were one player down and batted first against a younger and more inexperienced, but very friendly and welcoming side. Evie and Mattie opened the batting, scoring a fabulous 32 for their four overs with 2 fours for Evie and an impressive 5 for Mattie. Elsie and Sami batted strongly together scoring well with one run out and one catch. Charlotte, Grace and Maddie finished up the batting with some excellent defensive shots by Grace, 3 fours from Charlotte and some lovely batting from Maddie in her first game. 294 runs scored for 4 wickets.
Some excellent bowling by all the girls, with only 3 wide balls in the whole innings. Maddie bowled superbly on target for her first game. Evie and Mattie started impressively taking 4 wickets in the first 2 overs. 10 further wickets followed with catches from Charlotte, Grace, and Evie, run outs from Evie and Sami, and a three wickets in one over from Grace. The teamwork on the field was excellent with some brilliant communication and backing up, producing one of their most impressive performances of the season. Runs scored by Datchworth 198 for 14 wickets.
