The 2nd Team travelled to St Albans for a T20 cup game, with a depleted team of 9 thanks to the illnesses affecting the whole squad. Stortford choose to Bat, and despite the loss of an early wicket they stormed to a healthy 126 for 3 wickets in the 20 overs. Ankhan Aswani scoring an unbeaten 53 not out, and Captain Alisha Maxin continued her good form scoring 57. In reply, St Albans stuttered as Jemima Tasker took early wickets finishing with stunning figures of 2 for 6 from her 4 overs. St Albans fell behind the required rate and key wickets from Orla Neville (3 for 23) and Megan Laws (1 for 3) left them 103 for 7 in their 20. A great win for the 9, setting them up well for their tough clash with table toppers Harpenden 1st team next week.
