Jake is a hugely talented top order batter who plays for the South Australian Redbacks alongside many test stars. He moved from Perth to join the Redbacks in 2021/22, following 7 Sheffield Shield matches for Western Australia (2019/20-20/21). Jake made his first-class (2015/16), and List A debuts (2016/17) for the Cricket Australia XI.

In the opening match of the 2021–22 Sheffield Shield season, he scored his maiden century in first-class cricket, with 118 runs. To date, he has played 25 first class games, scoring over 1,000 runs at 25.32. His List A record is equally impressive, with 429 runs in 13 games at 33. He made his Big Bash debut in 2022 for the Sydney Sixers against the Adelaide Strikers, batting at 3.

Jake has scored over 8,000 grade runs in his career, averaging in the high 30’s and is a more than handy off-spin bowler.
