The U15 Girls team took on an inexperienced Welwyn Garden City side and put on an impressive performance.
We lost the toss and batted first, Suzie and Poppy opened with a partnership of 50 before Poppy retired n/o leaving Millie to join Suzie at the crease with them both also reaching retirement runs. Isabella added useful runs to the total of 135/5.
An impressive bowling performance started with Zoe taking a wicket in the first over. Followed by a double wicket over for Poppy in the 2nd and adding a 3rd in the 4th over finishing her spell on 6-3 with a caught and bowled and a wicket maiden. Catherine added 2 great wickets off her 3 overs, (6-2) and Lea had a great spell with the ball, taking a wicket in a maiden over. Further wickets were taken by Emma and Suzie. The fielding was really tight with some great sprints by Zoe stopping a few boundaries and catches from Millie and Suzie. Alice helped keep the score low with her reactions behind the stumps. Welwyn finished on 75 for 10. A great all round performance from the girls.
