U13A at Broxbourne

On a very good batting track and fast outfield we bowled first but failed to control our line and length as too many wide or short balls were despatched for 4 and we also contributed 25 in wides and no balls plus 12 byes and never looked like taking a wicket. Their score of 119-0 looked gettable and so it proved as our batting fired again. Ed hit 5 fours and a six retiring on 33 not out, Monty hit 3 boundaries in making 20 and it was left to Cameron (26 not out) and Matthew (14 not out) to power 7 more 4s with 4.3 overs left. This convincing win guarantees we top the group and should give us a home Qtr Final. If we are at home the game will either be Sun 10th or Mon 11th as the College boys are away from Tuesday onwards.
