U13s v Chorleywood

Another excellent team performance means we will be at Finals day at West Herts next Sunday. Chorleywood chose to bat first and their opener road his luck early on to retire on 32no but our bowling was accurate throughout which kept their run rate in check. Stanley pulled off the first of 2 direct hit run outs and then took a great catch off Cameron while Monty bowled 3 overs for 5 runs. Excellent 'death' bowling from Ed Stabb (1-9) and George (2-10) ensured they finished on 123-6 which seemed under par given the good track and lightning outfield.
Ed and Stanley started quietly but soon accelerated hitting 10 boundaries between them as they both retired on reaching 30 but we were well ahead of the rate at 79-0 at half way. Felix (9), Monty (12) and Dexter (17no) all hit 2 fours each as we pushed to victory with 3.4 overs left.
