U13B v Hoddesdon

Aaron and Evan started well hitting 4 boundaries, losing just 1 wicket to get to 223. Luca and Jack C batted sensibly and despite 1 run out from a brilliant direct hit took the score to 231. Joe and William then hit 2 4s each pushing us onto 253 after 12. Ollie and Jack then added 16 with once out and we finished with Ben and Zak adding 20 for 1 wicket so we finished on 289-5. Hoddesdon started well taking advantage of the very short boundaries by hitting 5 4s and 2 6s but crucially lost 3 wickets. William took a good catch off Aaron and Zak brilliantly caught a skier off Evan. Things quietened down after that with good steady bowling from everybody, Luca and Jack T taking a wicket each plus a very good run out, and this meant Hoddesdon were kept well below the required rate ending on 273-6. Our ground fielding and catching proved to be the difference helping us to win all 5 U13B games so far.
