U13 Season Review

We finished our season tonight with a mini tournament that ended up being really good fun! The highlight was two HUGE 6s, one from Harry Pigram and then easily the biggest 6 I’ve seen in junior cricket from Ethan Baker. Afterwards we had a trophy presentation for the Players, Batsmen and Bowlers of the Season (in photo).
Overall, the BSCC U13 season has been a really enjoyable and successful season, especially baring in mind the circumstances! I’m proud to say we ended up getting 19 matches in this season, plus the mini tournament too. The A team won 7 out of 8 games against quality opposition. The B team won 4 out of 6 games with one rained off halfway through. We also had 5 Inter-Squad games too.
That gives the U13s an overall record of 11 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses (plus 5 inter squad games) which is a fantastic season!

It’s hard to pick any individual highlights from the season, however one moment that stands out was the inter squad game where 3 lads (Charlie L, Henry H, Thomas G) all scored 50s in a high scoring thriller that went down to the penultimate ball.

I just want to thank the parents and lads for their support this season, we’ve had to navigate the new rules/regs and had to cram the fixtures in, but the lads have taken the challenge on excellently and the parents have really supported that too.

Hopefully we’ll be able to get a full season in 2021! I’ll be contacting everyone about winter nets in late Sep/early Oct. Cheers Sam
