High Scoring BSCC Inter Squad Game

There was a very high scoring T20 inter squad game between the U13s today.

Thomas Greenhill's XI scored an incredible 179-4 in their 20 overs, with great batting from Thomas Greenhill (36*), Ben Warren (32*), Paddy A-L (24) and late big hitting from Ethan Baker, George Lello and Ollie Foot. The pick of the bowlers for Ben Foster's XI was Lucas Dordoy who took 1-8 off his 2 overs. Jamie Ward also took 2 wickets.

In response, Ben Foster hit the first ball for 4 and the second ball for 6 hinting at a potential huge chase, however Thomas's XI brought it back by taking regular wickets throughout the innings. Ben was excellently bowled by Bertie Warnes for 16 whilst there was also wickets for Ethan Baker, Matt Reader, Ollie Foot, Joel Bagnall, George Howes and 2 for George Lello. Harry Pigram was the pic k of the batters with 26. Charlie Fair did hit a quick 13* at the end too.

Overall, it was a fun game and great to see some great ball striking. I want to thank the boys for managing to fit an entire T20 match in under 2 hours so that we could get another game on for the U12s. Also thanks to Peter Chapman and Leon Dordoy for helping with umpiring (and Jay Ward for the last inter squad game!)
