Tight U13 BSCC Inter Squad Game

It was a tight inter squad game tonight for the U13s with Charlie's XI winning by 11 runs over Zac's XI.

Ben Warren opened the bowling and running through Charlie XIs top order with quick booming inswingers, clean bowling Jamie Ward and Ben Foster early on and finishing with 3-1 in his 3 overs! Charlie's XI did recover with runs for Joel Bagnall (16), George Lello (17), Cameron Wach (13) and the top score for Charlie Laking (33). They were bowled out for 143.

In response Zac's XI started well with Thomas Greenhill scoring 25 and starts for Oscar Gouldson (14) and Arthur Seakhoa'King (13*). However George Howes ripped through the middle order bowling beautifully for his 4-14 in his 3 overs. Zac Saunders (42*) nearly inspired a late comeback however it was too much to do in the end, with Zac's XI making 132-9 in their 25 overs.

It was an enjoyable game in the end and a good final match for the B team lads. We have one more A team game on Sunday before the whole squad mini tournament and awards ceremony next Wednesday.
