BSCC U13B won at Sawbridgeworth tonight in an enjoyable friendly T20 match.
Sawbo batted first making 93-5 in their 20 overs with their top scorer being BSCC member Omar Sain (with 25* retired) who was filling in Sawbo. Matt Reader, Ollie Foot and Jake Curtis all took a wicket each, with the standout being Fraser Hardie’s 2-8 off his 2 overs.
In response we lost a couple of early wickets before Cameron Wach smashed 25* retired in his first BSCC innings to put us in control. Jonty Crow came in next and batted excellently, hitting 4 boundaries on his way to his personal high score of 17. Zac Ziepe also hit a quick fire 13 runs. We went past Sawbo’s score shortly after Zac got out, however we continued the game so everyone got a bat and bowl. We finished 132-8 at the end of our 20 overs.
It was an enjoyable evening at Town Fields, with a solid all round performance. It was nice that everyone managed to bat and bowl two overs each. We now move onto the inter squad friendly tomorrow as the games keep coming!
